The IP LAB Series is a new publishing initiative of the Center for Design Fashion and Advertisement Law at the University of Silesia. It grows out of our commitment to combine academic reflection with practical insight and to create a space where intellectual property law is explored through experience dialogue and collaboration.
Each volume is rooted in conferences and open seminars that bring together scholars practitioners students and representatives of creative industries. The books are also the outcome of one semester of intensive student work developed within our IP LAB Guided by an empirical approach to intellectual property law we move beyond purely theoretical analysis and focus on how legal frameworks function in real markets and real creative sectors.
The IP LAB Series introduces a distinct business perspective on intellectual property with particular attention to branding and business strategies. We examine how intellectual property rights can be designed structured and implemented as strategic tools that support innovation communication and busiess growth.
At the same time we explore comparative perspectives and study intellectual property systems in different countries to better understand their diversity and practical implications. The first volume of the Intellectual Property LAB Series is dedicated to the intellectual property systems of Ghana and Nigeria. By focusing on these dynamic and rapidly developing jurisdictions we aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of intellectual property in West Africa and to open a dialogue on global and regional approaches to protection strategy and development.
