Geospatial information infrastructure is gaining ever more attention, though academic studies on the creation of maps with the aid of AI remain few and far between. It is clear that the rapid increase in the number and diversity of data gathering methods supported by AI-aided tools will gain more attention with time.
With this in mind, the editors of this book, scholars at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia in Katowice, came up with the idea of gathering specialists form Gdańsk University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, University of Warmia and Mazury, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Technical University of Dortmund, University of Hanover, Goethe-University of Frankfur, University of Canberra, University of Lorraine, Le Mans University and Arts et Métiers ParisTech to discuss the rules of creating geospatial information databases supported by AI-based tools.
It is believed that a common editorial scheme will contribute to a better understanding of the actions taken on the geo-information market, and will become a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences of many representatives of universities, public administration and business. This is the third book published on the
Geo&IP Series
devoted to various aspects of GI and IP law.
